James Barlow has been a wedding-specialist singer, DJ, and host for most of his life and a little bit before that! – even performing at weddings during his university days in Staffordshire. Since then, as a full-time professional, he has performed at over 1,000 weddings across 50 UK counties, bringing experience, personality, and musical flair to every occasion.

From relaxed daytime sets and upbeat wedding breakfasts to a packed evening dance floor, James creates the perfect musical flow for each part of your big day. Whether you’re after a romantic aisle song or an unforgettable final track, James will help make every moment memorable.

Evening singer & DJ

First dance of your choice (either sung live or played pre-recorded).

1½ – 2 hours’ live singing in segments throughout the evening; dance floor fillers in a wide range of styles – songs everyone will know and want to get up and dance to.

DJ sets: James as your fully functional DJ in between singing sets – mixing, taking requests and reacting to the crowd, providing a full evenings music.

BOSE L1 line array sound system and intelligent DMX lighting set up, tailored to your room size and guest numbers – view setup.

Song requests and favourite styles and artists welcome, to ensure you hear plenty of yours’ and your guests’ favourite music.

Wedding Breakfast

James’ specially selected pre-recorded background music mix, or music of your choice, as your guests take their seats.

James as your host – announcement into the room for the newlyweds + optional full bridal party. Tailored musical introductions – enter accompanied by the tracks of your choice; a fun and lively entrance as your guests clap, cheer and go crazy!

45 – 60 minutes of live singing throughout your wedding breakfast. Short singing sets between courses; laid back and atmospheric to start but towards the end of your meal, James encourages guests to sing along, wave arms in the air and even dance around the tables – really getting the party started and your guests warmed up ready for the evening party!

Use of sound system and wireless microphone for speeches, if required.

Reception drinks

Up to 90 minutes of live singing – laid back, atmospheric songs as you have reception drinks / canapés / photographs, either welcoming you as you arrive from your separate ceremony venue, or greeting your guests as they file out of your ceremony room.

James’ setup can be outside if the weather is fine. He has a BOSE battery system so can be exactly where you and your guests are!
